Hello everyone,
I'm in the process to restore a volga that was once powered by an outboard motor.
I would like to put one of the new contra-rotative z drive with an inboard diesel (probably around 150 HP).
Does anyone knows the depth of the drive.
Any suggestions on an engine/z-drive combination?
Thank’s in advance,

Hello Antoinef,
I have seen a few Volga 275's with a mercruser heck drive.
Build as low as possible, some have a extension in de drive.
maybe a volvo 280? or 290 duoprop is a good option?
Friend od my is putting a mercedes OM606 behind his 290 duoprop
in his Volga 275..
Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thank's for your answer.
I'm going to look for a Volvo 280.
The Mercury (VW) diesel engine with the bravo three looks very interesting too.
Just not sure about the depth of the Z-drive.
Thank's again,
Antoine

My Volga has an Inboard engine. Originally, off factory it was a Volvo penta B30 (6 cyl) engine. I replaced the engine with a penta D3 190 (5cyl) and the AQ180 was rebuild with the
