Has anyone had success or knowledge with welding up holes.type of filler wire to use and sheet alloy type

Use welding impossible. Between the sheets of the hull in the seams of the padded gasket fabric. From welding it will burn. appears leak. Rivets of aluminum brand AMG-5 (АМГ-5 in Russian)Before application they must be heated above 150 degrees. After that, they will be soft for a day or two.

Thanks for the info on the rivets.the hole are in the middle of a section with no lap seam would this be possible

look into aircraft building. same technic..
Did 300 rivets in a volga of a friend,and 600 in my own volga(strela).

hay Bren,
You are in Australia right??
I was Captain on a Russian(Ukraine) hydrofoil in the Netherlands.
We did or own repairs,and got some rivet from the ship yard where they were build.
I'm going to my Volga tomorrow,and will check the bags for info.
There are some "foreign" rivets in my crate....
