Who has info on the original propeller of the Z drive AQ270?
What is a reference for the max speed for the Volga?

I think you can download a complete manual from our site in English Language. Maybe you can find what you need over there. The Aquadrives have been not produced entirely for Volgas but for any boat. You should refer to Volvo Service Literature which is according to my information refering to serial numbers, where they can provide you with the original propellers. Costwise I think it should be 2-3 times more expensive than a regular propeller.
To answer you the second question, the boats were able to achieve 36 knots and maybe sometimes a little bit more. The foils however are not built for higher speeds and once you overpower the boat and make it faster than the original design you will have cavitation on the foils. This is like putting a jet on a WW1 doubledecker plane. You will spoil it. 36 knots is about 70 km which makes you faster than most boats anyway. You don't need more.

Hi there
My boat had the MD32 AQ270. The engine produce about 96 hp at 4000 rpm to this volvo put a 15X17 or sometimes 16x19. I have change my engine to a Mercedes 115 hp and 4200 rpm( i still have the 270) I have tried 15x17 makes 30 knots 15x21 makes 38 knots(but is very weak sometimes it do not make over 3000rpm <I think it is to big) 14x19 makes34 knots easy. maybe i will try 14x21. Right now i am happy with the 14x19. at 3800 rpm it makes 30 knots so i am happy

Hi!
I am almost certain the prop is a Volvo Penta "hs" series high spred prop. I recognize it since this is the type I have on my Draco 2000 boat with 270 drive. There are many dealers herr in Sweden who have used rebuilt props on stock I even found one new at a garage sale. look for the type code on the hub it is stamped into the metal with a letter and six digits - the VP product code. Also unscrew the nut and you should see the size and rake, e.g 15x17L.

Hi Everyone
The last month before i took my boat up for the winter (this morning it is -2degrees celcius) i tested 15x19 a good prop with more strength than the 14x19, with some frinds and bagage its better with the new prop ( i bought it second hand for 100 euros). Klas
