Vogla for sail in Latvia

Dear Volga Lovers,
My quest for Volga's continued this summer in Latvia. And actually, it worked out well. I came across this one. The owner does not know a lot about the boats. He got it 20 years ago from a rich Russian guy.
Something about the boat:
-aluminium looks good, not corroded
-wings are ok (as far as i can tell)
propeller is original, but the exel is not and is bad welded
-original engine is in, also original gearbox (v-drive)
-original paint is on
-it is one of the fist volga's. It has the 6 cyl gas engine, not the v8
-boat was laying outside under a roof for aprox 15 years.
-engine cover was stolen, so the engine has seen a lot of water, snow etc. I think it needs full restauration or replacement.
-i'n not putting the advertisement to make big profit. My brother in law is Latvian and he has to arrange everything, so he want a small amout of money for that. Is somebody is interested, let me know. The boat has a lot of work, but also good potential. It will cost around 4700-5000 euro our cost included, but without transport.
Im also busy with 2 other Volga's. This guy used to have a team of people that went to Russia, and other countrys in search of Volga's. He was restouring them completely and then sold them. He sais that the 2 that he has are probably the last ones in Latvia. These ones are a lot more expensive and the newer model (i guess 1980).
Just let me know if you are interested.
Cheers,
Daan
