Re: needing pictures of the inside bolts holding foils in place and any advice on reinstalling foils
Hey Doug, the small diameter bolds are for mid aft strut, The Long one are for aft sides where the aluminium assist foils cover the ss foil. and yes the rubber is covered by a cup like ring. so rubber/cup/nut/nut I have 2 bolds, but a Nylock nut will also do the trick. this is the only photo I could...

Re: needing pictures of the inside bolts holding foils in place and any advice on reinstalling foils
hey
this is about the shape of the rubber bushing used on the inside..
Maybe this helps?
and make sure if you reattach the foils, the foil do not make contact with the hull.
They must be isolated from the hull, due to electrolysis between different metals.

Re: gearbox v-drive
Hello Richard,
Maybe it is possible to control the ZF with a Cable?
Think it will shift much easier as the original gearbox...

Re: Looking for a Volga 70
hello
Best is to scout on internet.
Or old boat yards.
I don't know your location, but in eastern europe you have a higher chance.
Try google in foreign langue/russian.
Good luck
Ps I know maybe in the Netherland a restoring company. but ain't cheap

A bare hull is not that heavy, almost to do by hand

Re: need to turn boat upside down any advice
I would be scared to roll my volga over..
The overhanging deck will bend easy.
But indeed a 2K paint is hard, and can crack quickly.
the only tip/hind i have is to do it slow and careful.
Good luck!

and if possible also on the floor,
like the original.
It is only 2mm alu plate...
