Hi,
Great forum! I'm a naval architect, and I'm currently designing a new electric pod propulsor specifically meant for high-speed boats like hydrofoils.
I was thinking that a Volga would make a great proto boat, as they are quite plentiful. However, a question is the best design speed! I noticed that Alexeyev Bureau advertises 45kn cruising speed for their Dolphin v1, which looks rather similar to a Volga 70.
I was wondering if anyone here has put bigger engines in their Volgas, and what have been the results?
How fast can Volgas go?
Re: How fast can Volgas go?
hello and welcome!
Volga is designed for cruising 55Km/u. with a max of 65/70Km/u.
some go even 100km/U, but is id save?? some say yes.. others crashed with it..
the Dolphin is a completely new design..
I know the power varies from 100HP till 400Hp..
Best Regards,
Mark
