Hi everyone!
I would like to buy from somewhere the anodes for my Volga. Can anybody give me an idea from where to buy?
What is the material of them? Magnesium-Alloy? Aluminium only? What, who, where is a reliable source for these
spares?
Thanks in advance for answering....
best regards,

Re: Anodes for Volga
Hello Georg,
As far as I could find out, the anodes are made of a magnesium alloy, but I don't know which exact sub-type. The hull itself is made of an Aluminium alloy 5083, so perhaps with that information you can calculate the necessary electrochemical potential of the anodes.
We have some blueprints with the anodes online, perhaps someone who speaks/reads Russian can help us find out if there is something written about the material to use.
Does anyone else have something to add?
Kind regards,
Maurits

Hi,
Wow! I could not imagine, that this site is being kept since such a while, with all kind of Volga owners and there is so little info available regarding good sources for spares supply. Most probably due to the fact, that the site is rather secured against spammers and advertisers.
It seems that even such essential consumables like anodes and their supply sources are unknown to ''insiders''. Maybe I'll grab this as a task and may find out about reliable sources via Batumi, where for instance my boat was built.
There should be other sources as well like the guys that are offering the STRELLA boats, based on our Volga 70, able to supply spares.
I think, that we should atleast keep a pin board, in the ''Buy'' chapter, showing contacts of sources, what they supply, their language ability and maybe some comments about their reliability. Gentlemen, please stay in touch and let me have your info about anything you have so that we can prepare an excel list for sources.
Regarding Anodes I may need to check, whether the drawings are showing proper dimensions or whether there are production drawings, so I
can have them here casted in Turkey and may make them available for anyone.
Best regards,

Re: Anodes for Volga
Hi Georg!
I´m using ordinary 1 Kg zinkanodes for less then 10 euro each on my wings (one on each side). In south Sweden (it´s not very salt water)it use to go about 1/2 Kg for 1 season in water. Because of the low price I change every season. The hullanodes use to live for ever in this water..
Best Regards,
/Lars
