Volga Hydrofoils Messageboard

Hi All!

I registered to the forum just few weeks ago and wanted to say Hi. I am based in Finland and happened to bump into a Volga when looking for a boat. This made me interested to know more and here I am. I hope to learn a lot of the boats here.

Actually what ended up happening was that I bought a Volga from Latvia. It has the original GAZ53 engine with V-drive. I'll post some pictures when I get around to taking them.

Curious to see some pictures. I saw a rather beautiful Volga for sale in Latvia just a few weeks ago... perhaps it is now yours? Looks like a great buy then!

Yes the one it Latvia is the one that I bought. Here's a few pictures:
The boat is in very good condition (except that the gear broke yesterday)...

Hi Juoko, Thank you for the pictures. I had my wet eyes glued to that boat, but got to the seller too late
I happened to stumple over an old hull i Denmark. A lot of work need to be done.
I will post some pictures later....

Hi Soeren,

Nice to hear that I was not the only one fascinated with this boat, I was lucky to get it. The bad this was that the original axle coupling broke at the end of last season and now that I've fixed that others things pop up. Propably all due to the boat not being used for a few year. Anyhow, it's a beauty and i'm hoping to get it on the water soon for this summer.
