After 2 years of negotiating, i finally got my second volga.
This one is the newest model, built in 1985. The boat is totally original and it is working. It has been cleaned totally by hand. So now it is ready for painting.
The previous owner is a Latvian guy who is working as a layer in Germany. Before this, he had his own business and restored volga’s. He had an employee that traveled the Baltic states and Russia in search of volga’s. Only the ones that where working properly, where bought and restored originally. The guy knows everything about Volga’s and only wanted to sell to me because I guaranteed him to resore the Volga myself and use it myself.
He hates Japanese. He told me Japanese where buying volga’s and make water taxi’s from it. They make ugly closed boats from them. He told me that the Japanese bought an old Volga factory. There where unfinished volga’s and one brand new one that has never been used. It was standing in stock for many years. The paid 70.000 euro only for that Volga.
So that’s why my other Volga is for sale. This is the one that I will be restoring.
