my Volga is finally in Holland

Post by Daan »

I took the Volga myself to Holland From Latvia. Becouse my other car was not finished in time, I had to buy an old Mercedes to make the trip. As you can see, the Mercedes looks tiny in front of the Volga. The guys at the ship looked amazed when I drove up the truck deck with a 10 meter long trailer with the Volga. almost 3 meters high and 15 meters long.. Now I’searching for a good company in Holland to do the soda blasting, does anyone know a good address in Holland?

Hi Daan,

A fellow Volga-owner in Amsterdam recommended Kalfsvel in Zaandam. They can also give your boat a good coating right away.

He also recommended to do shot peening (glasparelstralen) because of the relatively delicate skin of the boat. But I have no idea if this is better than sodablasting.

Cheers,
Maurits
