Unique Volga 70 for sale

Post by Theo Martins »

I am selling my unique Volga 70 ODDJOB, a great boat combining the best of two worlds. The hull is a restored 1964 Russian Volga hydrofoil, that’s been fitted with a new deck and a mahogany and pine interior. Under the engine cover at the aft end you find a Chevrolet Corvette 454 V8 that via a reverse gear and bevel gear powers a straight propeller shaft. A bow thruster makes manouevering of the long vessel easier when docking. The boat breathes quality and genuine craftsmanship throughout.

Despite the sizeable 300-plus horsepower engine, the boat is very fuel-efficient. The minimum water resistance translates into a fuel consumption of approximately a mere litre per nautical mile. Another quality of this type of boat is its uniquely gentle movement even through heavier seas. The sharp foils slice through the waves like a hot knife through butter.

The boat’s in mint condition. The reverse gear and bevel gear were recently completely restored, and a new electrical system as well a GPS have been installed. A custom-made boogie trailer* comes with the boat.
