Hi there!
I have purchased a Volga 28 that has been partially restored.
It was used in the Robert Redford and Brad Pitt film Spy Games. The filming was done in Casablanca.
I have had a custom trailer made for it which I hope to launch from without a crane!
The restoration will commence this summer.
I will post pictures when I work out how to!

Why float when you can fly!
Hi "Alp Volga",
I got curious about the "Spy Games" Volga after your post, so I rented the movie and threw my movie editor at it. I put all the scenes with that Volga into a single clip that I posted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk8TQmtqpnc
Hope you (and all other Volga enthusiasts) will enjoy it!
You also mention a custom trailer for launching without a crane - this will interest more people I think. Where did you have it made? Could you share the the design (blueprints?) with the rest of us? I know of others who want to make a trailer like that too, so it would be great if you would like to share your experiences! Manoeuvering a boat with big wings onto a trailer is a pain...

Hi,
If you do not send us any photos of your Volga, you will make us all extremely unhappy!
I had problems with the attaching of photos, so it took some time to get started with this.
If you need any help, I shall try to assist you.

Hi!
I´m owner of a Volga 70 since 2004. It´s one of the "exportmodels" from the beginning with Volvos MD32 and sterndrive model 270. I have changed to a Volvo AQD40A and a 280. It gives her a top speed of aprox 40 knots and a running speed for 30-32 knots. Already from the beginning I produced a trailer for launching direct in water by my own. It was very easy and it works well. It´s only two 2" steeltube for sliding and some other stuffs.
